Morphine is an opioid medication which is used to combat pain. Drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, anxiety, and mild itching are associated with side effects to taking this medication. Other risks associated with continued morphine use include misuse, abuse, and possible addiction. More findings indicate that morphine usage may increase even more potential damage to the nervous system, and thus increasing the pain outcome as the person is weaned off of the medication.
Don’t wait for your body to be in more pain than it needs to be. While western medication may be extremely helpful providing pain relieve addressing acutly painful conditions, chronic pain management may require different solutions/approaches. While the study below references that Acupuncture may even be more helpful than morphine for acute pain management (especially verses the side effects), further investigation is needed to support this argument.
Help your body heal. Heal it with Acupuncture.
