What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an effective form of medical treatment that has evolved into a complete holistic health care system. It is considered the “physical therapy” of Chinese medicine. Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It works by stimulating the nervous system to promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and stop pain. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being. It is a safe, painless and effective way to treat a wide variety of medical conditions.
How Acupuncture works
Acupuncture helps improve blood flow circulation to a particular area of pain and or symptoms. There is a common saying in Chinese medicine “Where there is pain, there is no blood flow, and where there is blood flow there is no pain.” The same too can be said for chronic symptoms.
Acupuncture works with the PNS (parasympathetic nervous system) to direct blood flow to help encourage reduction of pain and symptoms. The more in which we receive Acupuncture, the more in which this restorative functioning is established, and thus reduction of pain.
